सीनियर रेजिडेंट / ट्यूटर के 40% पद पर बिहार राज्य स्वास्थ्य सेवा संवर्ग के सदस्यों से भरा जायेगा एवं 40% पद पर राज्य के चिकित्सा महाविद्यालयों से स्नाकोत्तर डिग्री पाठ्क्रम (रेजीडेंसी स्कीम के अंतर्गत) पूरा किये गए चिकित्सकों से भरा जायेगा। शेष 20% पद वैसे चिकित्सकों से भरा जायेगा जिन्होंने राज्य के बाहर के मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थानों से स्नाकोत्तर डिग्री रेजीडेंसी स्कीम प्राप्त किया हो
सीनियर रेजिडेंट / ट्यूटर के पदों के लिए न्यूनतम शैक्षिक योग्यता विषय विशेष में स्नाकोत्तर उपाधि होगी सुयोग्य उम्मीदवारों की संख्या में कमी होने पर योग्यता डिप्लोमा होगी।
