Exam Pattern :
Exam Pattern will be as Follows :
- The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
- There will be a question paper carrying 100 questions.
- 01 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. So test will be of 100 marks.
- The time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
- The level of written examination will be 10th class or equivalent level of Bihar Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti.
- The written examination will have relevant objective questions of Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civics, Economics), Science (physics, chemistry, zoology, botany), General Knowledge and Current Affairs
Note: Candidates who get less than 30 percent marks in the written test will be declared unsuccessful for the physical proficiency test.

Exam Syllabus will be as Follows :
Hindi : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.
English : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc. & Questions Focused on English grammar.
Mathematics: Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ration and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Mensuration.
Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) – Questions of Social Study will include Indian History, Culture, Geography, Environment, Economic aspects, Freedom Movement, major features of Indian Agriculture & Natural Resources and Indian Constitution & Polity, Panchayati Raj, community development and 5 years Plan. General Knowledge of Geographical and Political condition of Bihar.
Science (physics, chemistry, zoology, botany) – Questions of General Science will include to test knowledge of matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject. It will Also Include Knowledge of the Subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology form the level of 10th Standard.
General Knowledge and Current Affairs – Culture and Religion, Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland Harbours, Freedom Movement, Sports : championships/ Winners/ Terms /No. of Players, Defence, Wars and Neighbours, Current Affairs, Important National Facts about India, Heritage and Arts, Dance, History, Languages, Capitals and Currencies, National : Bird/ Animal/ Sport/ Flower/ Anthem/ Song/ Flag/ Monuments, Eminent Personalities, Common Names, Full forms and Abbreviations, Discoveries, Diseases and Nutrition, Award and Authors.
Physical Standards Test (PST)
Height –
(1) Unreserved (Male)/ Backward Category (Male) – Minimum 165 cms
(2) OBC (Male) – Minimum 162 cms
(3) SC/ST (Male) – Minimum 160 cms
(4) Female of all categories – Minimum 155 cms
Chest (Only for male) –
(1) General/BC/SBC
Unexpanded – 81 cms
Expanded – 86 cms
(2) SC/ST/Gorkhas of India
Unexpanded – 79 cms
Expanded – 84 cms
Weight- Minimum 48 KG for All Categories’ Females.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (100 Marks)
(I) दौड़ – अधिकतम 50 (पचास) अंक ।
सभी कोटि के पुरुषों के लिए – 1 (एक) मील (1.6 क्रि०मी0) [अधिकतम 6 मिनट में]
- 5 मिनट से कम – 50 अंक
- 5 मिनट से 5 मिनट 20 सेकण्ड तक – 40 अंक
- 5 मिनट 20 सेकण्ड से अधिक एवं 5 मिनट 40 सेकण्ड तक – 30 अंक
- 5 मिनट 40 सेकण्ड से अधिक एवं 6 मिनट तक – 20 अंक
- 6 मिनट से अधिक समय लेने वाले पुरूष अभ्यर्थियों को असफल घोषित किया जायेगा ।
सभी कोटिकी महिलाओं के लिए – 1 (एक) कि०मी0 [अधिकतम 5 मिनट में]
- 4 मिनट से कम – 50 अंक
- 4 मिनट से 4 मिनट 20 सेकण्ड तक – 40 अंक
- 4 मिनट 20 सेकण्ड से अधिक एवं 4 मिनट 40 सेकण्ड तक – 30 अंक
- 4 मिनट 40 सेकण्ड से अधिक एवं 5 मिनट तक – 20 अंक
- 5 मिनट से अधिक समय लेने वाली महिला आश्यर्थियों को असफल घोषित किया जायेगा ।
(II) गोला फेंक – अधिकतम 25 (पच्वीस अंक)
सभी कोटि के पुरूषों के लिए – 16 पौंड का गोला न्यूनतम 16 (सोलह) फीट फेंकना होगा ।
- 16 फीट से 17 फीट तक – 09 अंक
- 18 फीट से ज्यादा एवं 18 फीट – 13 अंक
- 18 फीट से ज्यादा एवं 19 फीट तक – 17अंक
- 19 फीट से ज्यादा एवं 20 फीट – 21 अंक
- 20 फीट से ज्यादा – 25 अंक
- 16 फीट से कम फेंकने वाले पुरूष अभ्यर्थियों को असफल घोषित किया जायेगा।
सभी कोटि की महिलाओं के लिए – 12 पौंड का गोला न्यूनतम 12 (बारह) फीट फेंकना होगा ।
- 12 फीट से 13 फीट तक – 09 अंक
- 13 फीट से ज्यादा एवं 14 फीट – 13 अंक
- 14 फीट से ज्यादा एवं 15 फीट तक – 17अंक
- 15 फीट से ज्यादा एवं 16 फीट – 21 अंक
- 16 फीट से ज्यादा – 25 अंक
- 12 फीट से कम फेंकने वाले पुरूष अभ्यर्थियों को असफल घोषित किया जायेगा।
(III) ऊँची कूद – अधिकतम 25 (पच्चीस अंक) ।

- 04 फीट – 43 अंक
- 04 फीट 4 ईन्च – 47 अंक
- 04 फीट 8 ईन्च – 24 अंक
- 05 फीट – 25 अंक
- 04 फीट से कम कूदने वाले पुरूष अभ्यर्थियों को असफल घोषित किया जायेगा।
सभी कोटि की महिलाओं के लिए – न्यूनतम ऊँचाई 3 (तीन) फीट
- 03 फीट – 13 अंक
- 03 फीट 4 ईन्च – 17 अंक
- 03 फीट 8 ईन्च – 24 अंक
