About Indian Coast Guard Navik GD Recruitment :

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has Recently Announced and Invited the Online Applications from the Eligible Candidates for the Posts of Navik (General Duty). The total number of Vacancies for these Posts were 225 Posts. Many Interested and Eligible Candidates applied for these Posts online. The Process of Submission of Online Applications for these Posts was commenced from 08 September 2022 (1000 hrs) and Last Date to Apply for these Posts was 22 September 2022 (1800 hrs). Indian Coast Guard (ICG) will conduct the Written exam for the posts of Navik (General Duty) In Mid/End Nov 2022.

Indian Coast Guard will Complete th Navik General Duty (GD) Recruitment based on this Selection Process.

  1. Written Test
  2. Physical Fitness Test
  3. Initial Medical Examination

Indian Coast Guard Navik GD Exam Pattern :-

Scheme of ICG Navik GD written exam is as follows :

► The written examination will be of objective type.
The Question Paper Language will be Hindi and English Both.
► There Will Be 80 Question.
The Time Duration Was 01 Hour.
► There will be a composite paper of 12th standard.
There is NO negative marking. Candidate must read instructions in this regard printed on paper before proceed.

Maths – Relations and Functions, Logarithms, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Sequences and Series, Trigonometry, Straight Lines, Circles, Conic Sections, Permutations and Combinations, Vectors, Sets and Set Theory, Statistics, 3D Geometry, Probability Function, Limits and Continuity, Differentiation, Integrals, Matrices, Determinants.

Physics – Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Gravitation, Solids and Fluids, Heat Thermodynamics, Oscillations, Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiations, Principles of Communication.

Chemistry – Metals and Non Metals, Organic Chemistry, solid, liquid or gaseous, elements, periodic table, chemical reactions.

English – Passage, Preposition, Correction of sentences, active passive voice, direct indirect sentences, Verbs/Tense/Non Finites, Punctuation, Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, Synonyms and Antonyms, Use of adjective, Compound preposition, Determiners, Use of pronouns.

GK & Current Affairs – Culture and Religion, Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland Harbours, Freedom Movement, Sports : championships/Winners/Terms/No. of Players, Defence, Wars and Neighbours, Current Affairs, Important National Facts about India, Heritage and Arts, Dance, History, Languages, Capitals and Currencies, National : Bird/ Animal/ Sport/ Flower/ Anthem/ Song/ Flag/ Monuments, Eminent Personalities, Common Names, Full forms and Abbreviations, Discoveries, Diseases and Nutrition, Award and Authors.

Quantitative aptitude and reasoning – Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Classification, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Blood relation, similarities and differences, Word Building, Coding and de-coding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  • PFT will be conducted for all those who qualify the written tests.
  • The testing procedure will take about 2 days.

The PFT will consist as under:-

► 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
► 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
► 10 Pushup. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will only be required to undergo Initial recruitment medical examination at the respective recruitment Centres or any other place as decided by the Indian Coast Guard.
