Age limit:
A candidate must be 21 (twenty one) years of age and not more than 32 (thirty two) years of age on January 1, 2021 i.e. he must not be born before January 2, 1989 and not after January 1, 2000.
Provided, however, that the maximum age limit for candidates of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBCs), women and ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities up to ten (10) years shall be relaxed at five (5) years with permanent disability of forty per cent. (% 0%) and more.

Educational Qualifications:
A candidate must have the following educational qualifications:
- A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences with a basic knowledge in computer applications or a master’s degree in education;
Or - Postgraduate degree in arts or science or commerce with a bachelor’s degree in education with basic knowledge in computer applications;
Or
- Integrated BA (Hons), B.Ed. Or B.Sc. (Hons), B.Ed. Education from a regional college with a master’s degree in arts / science with basic knowledge in computer application.
Candidates who have obtained educational qualification from an institution / board / university outside the state must obtain a certificate of approval of their institution from a recognized board / university and an equivalent certificate issued by the University of Odisha from that institution and the board / university to which it is affiliated.
Candidates who have obtained training qualification from outside State Institution / Board / University must have achieved –
- Certificate of approval of their institution in a recognized board / university.
- Equivalent certificate issued by the University of Odisha is the qualification from the institution and the university from which it is approved.
- Document showing institution recognition and course by NCTE.
Application Fee:
A candidate has to pay a refundable and non-adjustable fee of only Rs.500 / – (five hundred rupees). Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of Orissa and persons with disabilities (whose permanent disability is 0% and above) are exempted from paying this fee.
