Details of Punjab Master Cadre Vacancy :
- Master Cadre Posts – 4161 Posts
- Art at Craft Teacher – 250 Posts
- Lecturer cadre – 343 Posts
Age Limit Of Punjab Master Cadre :
- Candidate should have attained the age of 18 years but should not be older than 37 years on 1st Jan, 2021.
- The maximum age limit for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of the State of Punjab will be 42 years.
- The maximum age limit for State and Central Government employees will be 45 years with exemption from the upper age limit.
- In case of ex-servicemen residing in Punjab, the upper age limit shall be in accordance with the Punjab Recruitment of Ex-Servicemen Rules, 1982 as amended from time to time. This age limit is considered after deducting the period of service rendered from his age in the Army that he meets the conditions of the age limit.
- The maximum age limit for disabled persons residing in Punjab will be 47 years with a waiver of 10 years.
- The upper age limit for widows, divorcees and certain other categories of married women as per instructions issued by the Government of Punjab vide Letter No. 1/50/83-5PP(1368)/3454 dated 23.04.1984 will be relaxed up to 40 years.

Master Cadre Backlog –
- Should have passed Graduation with 45% marks in the case of General Category candidates md 44% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Backward Classes and Physical Handicapped Candidates from a recognized university or institution and should have passed Particular Subject as subject for three years of Graduation; and
- Should have passed B.Ed from a recognized university or institution with Particular Subject as one of the teaching subjects as per guidelines of University Grants Commission.

Age Limit:
As on 1st January 2021, a candidate should have attained the age of 18 years but should not have attained the age of 37 years, provided further that:
- SC/ST/BC candidates shall be given relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years.
- Ex-Servicemen shall be given relaxation in the upper age limit by 3 years, plus the number of years of service, rendered/served by them in the Indian Defence Forces.
- Serving government employees (State Govt. or Central Govt.) shall be given relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years, but they should not have attained the age of 33 years, as on 1st January 2021.

Should have studied Functional English, English Literature, B.A. Honours (English), B.A. (Honours) English in Graduation; or its equivalent; or Should have passed post Graduation in English; and - Should have passed B.Ed. from a recognized university or institution with English as one of the teaching subjects as per University Grants Commission guidelines.
Mathematics –
- Should have passed Graduation with 45yo marks in the case of General Category candidates and 40o/o marks in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward CIasses. Backward Classes and physical Handicapped Candidates from a recognized university or institution and should have passed Mathematics as subject at least for three years of Graduation; and
- Should have passed B.Ed from a recognized university or institution with Mathematics as one of the teaching subjects as per guidelines of University Grants Commission.
Science –
(a) Science (Non-Medical)
- Should have passed B.Sc. with 45% marks in the case of General Category candidates and 40% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward CIasses, Backward Classes and Physical Handicapped Candidates from a recognized university or institution with any of the two subjects i.e. physics Chemistry and Mathematics or should have passed B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics or any other equivalent qualification, but certificate of equivalency should be given by the concerned University as per guidelines of the University Grants Commission; and
- Should have passed B.Ed. from a recognized university or institution with Science as one of the teaching subject as per guidelines of the University grants Commission.
Science (Medical)
- Should have passed B.Sc. with 45% marks in the case of General Category candidates and 40% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Backward Classes and Physical Handicapped Candidates from a recognized university or institution with any of the two subjects i.e. Biology, Physics and Chemistry or B.Sc. Honours) in either of these subjects or B.Sc (life science) or B.Sc (Physical Science) or B.Sc (Bio-technology) or B.Sc (Honours) or B.Sc (industrial Microbiology) or B.Sc (Micro-biology) or B.Sc (Bio-physics) or B.Sc (Bio-chemistry) or B.Sc (Mircobial, Food Technology, Chemistry) or B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry or B.Sc. Food Science and Quality Control or B.Sc.
