About UP UPUMS:-

The Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, formerly U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, is a medical school and medical research public university located at Saifai in the Etawah District of Uttar Pradesh, India. It came into being after the upgrade of UP Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (established in 2005) by Government of Uttar Pradesh under Act,15 of 2016. In 2005, U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, a state run Medical College was established in Saifai village, District Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. It was established by UPRIMS&R, Saifai, Act 2005 notified on 15 Dec 2005. It had been started as a Satellite Centre of Lucknow’s Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences(SG-PGI) functioning at Saifai village, Etawah. In 2005, the Institute of Medical Sciences and Research was established by the UPRIMS&R, Saifai, Act 2005, notified on 15 Dec 2005.

University Provides Various Types Of Courses Under Graduate, Post Graduate And Some Diploma Courses.

1) Undergraduate Courses:- Bachelor of Science Laboratory Techniques, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Science (Nursing), Imagine Bachelor Radiological Techniques Etc.

2) Post Graduate Courses:- MD (Physiology), MD (Community Medicine), MS (Anatomy), MD (Biochemistry), MD (Pharmacology), MS (Orthopaedics), MD (Anaesthesia), MS (General Surgery), MD (Paediatrics), MS (Obst. & Gynae) Etc.

3) Diploma Courses:- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician, Diploma in Medical X-ray Technician, Diploma in Medical OT Technician, Diploma in Optometry, Diploma in Physiotherapy, Diploma in Dialysis Technician, Diploma in CT Scan, Diploma in Cardiology Technician Etc.
