The date of Final Written Examination for recruitment to the post of Constable in West Bengal Police – 2018 has been scheduled on 30.06.2019 (Sunday) from 12:00 Noon to 1 PM. The e-Admit Cards will be available on the website of West Bengal Police (www.wbpolice.gov.in) from 17.06.2019 on keying of Application Sl. No. & Date of Birth. All efforts will be made to deliver SMS alert to the registered Mobile Number of the candidates. However, the Board will not be responsible for non-delivery of such SMS. The candidates shall have to produce the printout of their e-Admit Cards at the allotted venues for appearing in the said exam.
Neither any paper Admit Card will be issued or sent by post to the candidates who have applied on-line nor will it be made available from the office of the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. The candidates are strongly advised against wearing sports shoes, sneakers, high heeled footwear or any other kind of shoes for they will be refused entry into the venue of the examination. They shall wear flat footwear such as plain leather or polyurethane footwear or slippers without any metal embellishments or accessories. The candidates are also advised to follow the instructions given on their Admit Card and visit this website on a regular basis.

Eligibility for West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 :-
a. Only for Indian Citizen
b. Age :
Not less than 18(Eighteen) years and Not more than 27(Twenty Seven) years as on 01-01-2019. Age Relaxation for SC/ST 5 years, OBC- 3 Years.
The upper age limit is also relaxable for NVF and Home Guards Personnel (serving in West Bengal Police only) as per existing Government Rules. However Age relaxation is NOT available to Civic Volunteers.
Note : Age relaxation Applicable only West Bengal Residential Candidates.
c. Educational Qualification :-
The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education(WBBSE) or its equivalent.
d. Language Known :
(i) The applicant must be able to read, write and speak the Bengali language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
(ii) For the applicant of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 will be applicable.

Recruitment Process of West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 :
A. Preliminary Written Examination
- MCQ base Preliminary Examination : Total Questions 100, each carry one Marks, Total Marks : 100, Time 1(one) hour. Question paper will be set in two languages (Bengali & Nepali).
- Syllabus of the Preliminary Written Test shall be
i. General Awareness and General Knowledge : 50 Marks
ii. Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik Standard) : 30 Marks
iii. Reasoning : 20 Marks
Note :- There will be NEGATIVE marking for each wrong answer ¼th per wrong answer.
B. Physical Measurement Test : The physical standards (height and weight) of the candidates as given under 3(e) will be tested by using Electronic Machines of those who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test
C. Physical Efficiency test :
1600 (Sixteen hundred) meters run within 06 (six) minutes 30 (thirty) seconds.
D. Final Written Examination :
After Completing in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Measurement Test (PET) will be called to appear in the Final Written Examination to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
