Age Limit of ESIC Teaching Faculty:

Associate Professor Medical Specialist	Not exceeding 50 years (relaxable upto five years for employees of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and the Government Servants, in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time-to-time).
Associate Professor Dental Specialist	Not exceeding 50 years (relaxable up to 5 years for employees of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and the Government Servants, in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time-to- time).)

For GENERAL DISCIPLINES:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Essential for Medical Candidates:
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the said Act); and

a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) / MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.

Essential for Non-Medical Candidates:
(i) A Postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline; and
(ii) A Doctorate degree from a recognised University in the respective subject or allied discipline.
Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the Medical Council of India- “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998.”

Experience:
Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned speciality in a recognized medical college. Two research publications in indexed journals.
· Authorship in research Publication- Published/Accepted for publication
· BEFORE 8th June, 2017- 1st/ 2nd Author
AFTER 8th June, 2017-1st / Corresponding author

Associate Professor Dental Specialist

Essential:

A Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree of an Indian University or an equivalent qualification with Post Graduate Qualification/ Diplomate of National Board in the subject and four years teaching experience after post- graduation as Assistant Professor.

Note: The qualification and experience should be recognized by the Dental Council of India or the Statutory Body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this
effect is to be submitted.
