About ICMR Assistant Professor Pay Scale (Salary):-
Pay Level – 11, Rs. 57,700-Rs.2,08,700 (Pre-revised Grade pay-Rs 6600/-)
About ICMR Assistant Professor Upper Age Limit:-
Candidates Should Not exceeding forty years. Relaxable for Government servants / SC / ST / OBC & PwBD in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.)
Note: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India.
About ICMR Assistant Professor Education Qualification:-
(I) A recognised Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1955 (102of1956) and holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section t3 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1955 (102 of te56);
(II) Post-graduate Degree in the specialty or super-specialty in the following courses, namely:-
- Cardiology- Doctorate of Medicine (Cardiology); or
- Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) – Magister Chirurguie (Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery) or Magister Chirurguie (Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurguie (Cardio Surgery) or Magister Chirurguie (Vascular Surgery) ; or
- Gastro medicine- Doctorate of Medicine (Medical Gastroenterology); or Doctorate of Medicine (Gastroenterology); or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (Pediatrics) with two years special training in Gastroenterology; or
- Gastro surgery- Magister Chirurguie (Surgical Gastroenterology); or Master of Surgery (Surgery) with two years special training in Surgical Gastroenterology; or
- Nephrology- Doctorate of Medicine (Nephrology); or F. Neurology- Doctorate of Medicine (Neurology) ; or
- Neurosurgery- Magister Chirurguie (Neuro-Surgery) ; or
- Ophthalmology- Master of Surgery (Ophthalmology) or Doctor of Medicine (Ophthalmology); or
- Transfusion Medicine- Doctorate of Medicine (lmmunology) or Doctor of Medicine (lmmuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion) or Doctor of Medicine (Pathology or Bacteriology or Haematology) with two years teaching experience or special training in the department of lmmuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion; or
- Microbiology- Doctor of Medicine (Bacteriology) or Doctor of Medicine ( Microbiology) or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Master of Science (Medical Bacteriology) or Master of Science (Medical Microbiology) or Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Bacteriology) or Master of Science (Medical Bacteriology) with Doctor of Science (Medical Bacteriology) or Master of Science (Medical Microbiology) with Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Microbiology) or Master of Science (Medical Microbiology) with Doctor of Science (Medical Microbiology) ; or
- Psychiatry- Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry) or Doctor of Medicine (Psychological Medicine) or Doctor of Medicine in Medicine with Diploma in Psychological Medicine or Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of two years course or Diploma in Psychiatry (Mc. Gill University), Montreal, Canada of two years’ course; or
- Pulmonary Medicine- Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis) or Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases); or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis Diseases or Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases or Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases) ; or
- Radiology- Doctor of Medicine (Radio-diagnosis) or Doctor of Medicine (Radiology) or Master of Surgery (RadioloBy) ; or
- Surgical Oncology- Magister Chirurguie (Surgical Oncology) or Master of Surgery or Master of Surgery (Ear, Nose, Throat) or Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) or Doctor of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) with two years special training in Surgical Oncology;
- Urology- Magister Chirurguie (Urology);
Experience : At least One years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned specialty or super-specialty in a recognized teaching lnstitution, after obtaining the first postgraduate degree

Application Fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) is required. SC/ST/ Women/ PWD/ EWS candidates are exempted from application fee.
